Subject: Conversion of the Findlay POP to the new IP address space
Cc: Denise Krupp <dkrupp@wcnet.org>
Morning all,
This afternoon I'll be phasing the Findlay POP over to the new
addressing structure. We will be using this POP to see what the full
implications of the change will be. The major effects (Big Bro',
mrtg, RADIUS, exim) should be taken care of. However, we may be
missing a few, so please let me know as soon as possible so we can
plan better for the rest of the POP's.
Findlay is the easiest one since there are no static IP's present, a
single HiPerARC router and no subsidiary equipment, such as
addressable switches and the like. I don't expect any user problems
or outages on their end. This should be transparent to them, but,
well Murphy sez ...
Anyway, here are the new addresses associated with the POP:
Component Old IP New IP
tsarc-fi-01 157.134.169.251 64.31.72.251
tsnmc-fi-01 157.134.169.252 64.31.72.252
gw-fi-01 157.134.169.254 64.31.72.254
Also, the component names can be referred to as:
tsarc-fi-1
tsnmc-fi-1
gw-fi-1
Dial-in IP's: 64.31.72.1 - 115
Later.
Terry
P.S. The DNS server address that are fed to the dial-up connections
will be changed too since no problems have been reported. The new
ones are ns1.wcnet.org - 64.31.64.1 and ns2.wcnet.org - 64.31.64.2.
